Headers Setup Help
I have a set of 2460-1 shorties hookers headers and want to know what is the best possible setup with these headers. I know there is not a Y-pipe for the header and I really want dual exhaust with maximum clearance. My mind is telling me to use X-pipe dual exhaust and flowtech mufflers. Nothing real loud, but excellent sound. Please give me some advice and recommendation.

search dual exhaust and call all the exhaust shops in your area. i couldnt find one to run duals on a thirdgen. there are debates but i cant see why anybody would say duals are not as good as a single pipe. it will be more difficult to setup the exhaust though

Couple things about dual exhaust...
1. Say goodbye to ground clearance
2. Can't use an x-pipe unless you want it to scrape the ground when you hit a pebble.
You can use an h-pipe though, but it doesn't help all that much performance wise (unless you're running a hot motor). You'll have to run the pipes next to the driveshaft and dump before the axle. You probably won't be able to find a shop to do this for you. What I'm doing is getting some flex pipe, bend it up how I want it, and then take it to an exhaust shop for them to bend up a real piece. If you need anything else, email me.
