Got my headers installed...

Put them on last weekend. SLP 1 3/4 jet-hot coated. I did not have the fitment problems that have been described here recently :shrugs:. I got the dual cat installation kit and the pipes fit like they were made to be there. No clearance problems with the steering shaft and I was able to get both sides on from the top.

Many, many thanks to Kelly (Kage87Z28) who spent most of his weekend helping me out and keeping me out of trouble. These are the great kind of people that you meet by participating on these boards.

I don't have any objective data but the butt dyno says that I picked up some power up high. I scratch third (automatic tranny) on dry pavement, although I will admit that I need to put my new tires on

anyway, here are a few pics...

Before:

After (pay no attention to the funny little lines connected to the TB ):

During:

Temporary clamps (got the pipes welded the day after):

This is where the cutting torch would have been nice:

Jet-Hot charged me $179 for the pair of shorty's. I didn't get the pipes leading to the cats coated. They look great and the Jet-Hot team was great to work with.

Those are the AIR tubes. You can order the headers with those if emissions are an issue for you (they are for me!). The install kit comes with the appropriate lines to connect the AIR tubes from the header to the remaining factory lines. My picture above was taken before I had it all hooked back up. If it would be helpful for you I could take some other pics.

Was that including shipping? My price was $179 +shipping.

Maybe I should not post prices here

P.S. 89Irocz23 - I said not to pay attention to that :sillylol:

Shipping was only 15 bucks, they have a shop 90 miles away from me. But they did do good work, well worth it.

Why is it when I compare my header pic to yours, you have some extra lines coming out of the throttle body? Is that vacuum for cruise control?
