that same old question

I am ready to order my headers and exhuast, I was really going to try the true dual setup. But, I dont own a welder or even know how to weld. So I would have to hope to find a shop or someone to do a good job. I remember the day I gutted my cats and drove all over town trying to find someone just to weld the pipes back together. I finally found someone who did it but I would not trust them to do a true dual setup. It seems to me that more people on this board just have a 3-inch single-to-dual setup and that it must not make much of a HP difference especially on a stock motor. But I do like my car to make some noise, so I will probably get the Flowmaster American Thunder and delete the cats and just run a piece of 3-inch straight pipe in there place. Is this a better idea than messing with the true duals, I am sure everyone has their own opinion. This is a stock 350, daily-driver, occasional dragstrip car.

If I were you, just go with the American Thunder kit and put a straight pipe in place of your cats. The sound is awesome! I know some people are tired of flowmasters cause every dam camaro and mustang have them, but I personally love the sound.

well i think you have the right idea about everything - has if you want your car to be loud good luck doing it with a cat and a muffler. so run no cat and a flowmaster 80 series or 40 series and you will be pleased

Thanx for the input.I just reread my post and it is worded like I am saying that there is not much difference in the American Thunder setup than what I already have (that is what I get out of it anyway)what I meant to say was that there does not seem to be much of a difference between it and true duals since some of you have highly modded motors and run the single 3 inch to dual . Anyway, I will be going with the American Thunder. Not 100% sure on the headers yet , probably Hedman .
