I am removing the cat of my 87 z28 because its clogged and wondered what the little pipe comming off it is? Is this some kinda back pressure line, or for emissons? thanks

 

for the emissons, called AIR, I removed all mine

 

ok should i just plug it or rip it out haha im not sure what to do

 

I just cut mine off at the cat, but left the line just incase Ill ever got emissions. I did however remove, but keep all the other lines I'll here is a pic of it
