4th gen muffler in a 3rd gen?

I've seen messages on here where guys have swapped a 4th gen system into a 3rd gen. Have you tried a search yet?

I have a 4th gen muffler and pipes on my camaro, works OK ... I had to make a bracket to hold it on the driver side but that's it . A bushing is needed as well to fit the cat back since the opening on the muffler is bigger.
The sound isn't bad but isn't great ... I did that swap because I needed a new muffler to go along with my LT1 engine.
