air pump to cat
Is there any way to hook the air pump to the cat without all the extra hoses and it still do the same job. Would it also still pass emmisions test.
You could use non-air headers and hook the smog pump straight up to the cat. It wouldn't probably be hard at all, just need some hose and hose clamps. That way you could get rid of the diverter box and hoses that go to the manifolds/headers. I was gonna do this for a while, but then decided to just not run a cat at all. So I don't need any of it anymore. It'd probably pass the sniff test, I don't see why it wouldn't, but you may get flagged on the visual. Depends on how picky they are. I can't say, I've never been tested.

They dont do visuals here in NC, at least where i`m from. So it would still work properly, just without all the hoses
. There looking at doing smog test in all counties in NC by 2004 from what I heard so i don`t want to scrap my smog stuff, just remove what i can and still be legal.

I kept everything but the cat/y pipe because they were totally shot. But iron manifolds... well... nothing usually goes wrong with those... ever. Heck I even kept the smog pump on the car and hooked up! Lol because it won't come off....
