meineke pipe size wrong, wtf?
meineke pipe size wrong, wtf?
I had my dad take my car in to meineke for me while I was at school because the pipe was leaking. I just got it back and I noticed the car sounds different but I expected that. I have a '91 Z28 with the single 3" or is it 2.5" down the center of the chassis. Anyway, the pipe they used to replace it is 0.5" smaller! On the recipet they wrote 'No stock - altered pipe matched!'. WTF is that supposed to mean? 'We cut corners because you are dumb?' Is this common for exhaust places like meineke? The weld job looks terrible and I expect as much trying to weld to a smaller pipe from a larger. They didn't even call my father to tell him they didn't have they peticular sized pipe in stock.

Never take your car to Meineke for custom pipes. They did a halfass job on a custom pipe for my car. The pipe would not seal good so I had to take it back out. The charged me $60 for a 12" pipe with one end squeezed into an oval shape. They suck.
