AIR tube to cat.

When we were trying to remove my old cat, we couldnt get the AIR tube off the tube on the cat, we heated up, and tried to get it off, but to no avail, It wouldnt come off. So we cut it off. Now I'm wondering, what should I do? Can I get a new tube somewhere or can I get it repaired or something like at an exhaust shop? I'd like to keep it all emissions legal.

Get a repair kit from a parts store. It will have a length of high temperature silicone tubing and clamps so you can re-attach your tube to the new cat. That's how I attached mine 3 years ago (picked it up from Checker). The kit ain't cheap, but that's what a shop would use, and charge you twice as much to do it.

yeah, I did the same thing last fall, but I used PCV hose. I found out that the supply tube and the tube welded to the cat were the same size, and there was no way I could just clamp them together. The tube on the new Catco I installed came cut extra long, so I just trimmed the supply tube to fit.
If the counter guys at your local parts place are cool, they may just give you the 4" of hose for free, and then you just need to buy some clamps.
