Need help, lost in header land!

Need help, lost in header land!

Im looking to buy a decent set of headers and so far this is what I got:
Dynomax- no y-pipe, dont feel like or want to spend money on custom made or bent stock pipe.
Flowtech- dont ask me why but they only make headers for 82-90. Anybody know why not or if they would fit?
hedman- posible choice but only if they had a shorty and y-pipe version with no A.I.R. Unless someone knows of them?
hooker- same as hedman, anyone know if there is a #2055 without A.I.R.?
SLP- right now probably my choice, but Im not to fond of the price. Reason for this would be because they are the only brand that offers header and y-pipe package for my car with no A.I.R tubes. Big bonus are the 1-3/4 tubes and big y-pipe (383 is a quite posible future) and the o2 bung. Price is pretty sad though.
ALL opinions, advice and knowledge are welcome.

Hedman has shorties w/o A.I.R., and sell a y-pipe seperately that fit them. About $200 or so for the setup.

Sounds good. Can I get the part #s for them? I e-mailed their tech 2 days ago and never got a reply.

ask johnyIROC, the mod on the Ontario board....he just pu tthe shorty heddmans w/o AIR fittings and he put on there y-pipe....he will have the exact part numbers...i cant remember the #s right now. the heddmans are the ones to get...a great header and not to expensive...they are 1 5/8" primaries

Just beware that the collector at the y-pipe is 2.5 inch, I wish it was'nt because I would have bought them. SLP as far as I know is the only choice for headers W/O AIR with a 3 inch Y-pipe. I wish hooker or heddman would step up and make somthing like this so no one would be forced to take an *** raping from SLP like I did.

Ya i didnt like that to much either but it looks like they dont even make a y-pipe for dual cats. so that means I definately have to take the pricy SLPs. I guess its not the worse thing because they have everything I want like no AIR o2 bung and 3inch y-pipe and the stainless steel is a huge bonus. I feel the same as you about the hookers and hedmans... if header just made their y-pipe collector .5 an inch bigger they would get alot more customer satisfaction and they wouldnt have to change design, just a short pipe. Also hooker would just have to make a y-pipe, and its not like they would lose any money because 99% of the people that buy a hooker header would buy the y-pipe and plus alot of people who already have them. Oh well its their loss and our problem.
just my 3 cents, oh wait I should make that 2 1/2 cents so everyone needs to buy an extra piece and loose flow...
