Plugging your air tube on cat without crimping/welding?

I took my air stuff off but I gotta pass a smog test in about a year so I cant crimp it off. How did you guys plug it up without runing it?

Thanks!

i'm not sure what part you are reffering to exactly, but I used a hard rubber/plastic cap/plug to plug it up until I finished the job a couple days later, drove about 100 miles with the plastic plug, no problems

If you buy a copper cap for it (maybe 1/4" or 3/8") you can solder it on. Then when you wanna take it off, just heat it back up and pop it off.

A 1/2 pipe cap works wonders....the threads are the same as those on the factory one way air valves that attach to the headers.
That's how I plugged mine!
