Header and dipstick question

In the process of getting my old manifolds off of my car i bent up the oil dipstick.... i have heard that the dipstick doesnt fit very well anyways, what do you guys with headers do about this, just use the original and just let it hang there, or does some company make a replacement to work with headers??

In my case, my block is an older one with the dipstick on the drivers side and I have Heddman full tubes, there's plenty of space for the dipstick tube, but is a little tight pulling it out cause the brake booster is right there. I guess in my experience I've never heard of anyone having a problem with this, you probably will have to remove the tube from the block before installing the headers however.

I was looking at the same thing just tonight....Looks like it has to have the same mod as the a/c bracket...some sort of sleeve /washer were you would retain the original bolt length, but of coarse use a new bolt I assume.

I did the same thing when doing my SLP header add on. I just went to GM and got a new one for $11 or so and bent it a little to work.

I just bought a Lokar flexible dipstick. It fit in perfect and only cost about 30 bucks... plus it looks nice too.
