Stock Manifold Interchange

Is there an exhaust manifold from another small block chevy that will bolt up to the existing Y-pipe on my LG4? The studs on my passenger manifold (where the y-pipe bolts up) are stripped.... I *think* the studs can be tapped out but manifolds from the near by yard are only $10 each (no matter what they're off) unfortunatly her are no 305 3rd gens Hoping I could use one from a Caprice or Monte or something

Go get one off of an 80's vintage Monte, I'm really certain they're the same manifold. Caprice might work too. I had an 86 Regal with a SBC and used manifolds from a Monte for a while, they looked just like the ones on my LO3. Or throw some headers at it .

I dont think any of the other manifolds will work with the existing Y pipe. The F-body has a different setup with the rear exit pass side and middle exit on the driver's side. Other manifolds will fit the block no problem, but they wont fit the Y pipe. Just get some headers.

I've got two stock manifolds from an '82 Z28 305 engine. I'd be more than happy to ship them to you for $10 each plus whatever it costs to ship them. My zip code is 75094 if you want to calculate shipping costs.

Thanks for the info guys. I would love to go with headders on my car, infact I will eventually, but the money just isn't there right now.... I need to get the leak fixed before winter comes.

Flyboydave: Thanks for he offer but the cost of shipping for the manifolds would be far too high for me

I guess I'm off to find a decent used 3rd gen manifold

thought I'd post an update, incase anyone else needs the info down the road

I took off my manifold & went back to the wreckers to search out a close match. Found an (almost) identical one on a late 70's early 80's Pontiac LeMans (like a Malibu). Only difference was a heat sheild/"stovepipe" outlet
which resulted in a different P/N. Guess that's why I couldn't find a match on their interchange computer.
