flat pipes for true duals..

has anyone tried using flatter pipes (like those used on 4th gens) to make true dual exhaust? if u look at the y-pipe on 4th gens. its kinda flattened and widened some to allow for more ground clearence.. would this work but going all the way back to the rear?

if youre talking about oval pipes, then yes that can work. it just costs a lot more, but will give you more ground clearance
