I have a 90 rs with a 305. i will be getting a 4 barrel carb and intake, and eventually a cam and heads. i was wondering what kind of headers, mufflers and pipe size would work the best and put out the most power. Please let me know what has worked best for you. any info would be apretiated. thanks.

 

I just ordered a set of SLP 1 5/8 for my 327, I wouldn't go any bigger that that with a 305 or it will run like a 4 banger. As for brand, there's alot of choices, but I've seen SLP, Edelbrock, and Hedman, they all worked good and I think they all include the custom Y-pipe. As for muffler, that's more of an opinionative question. some people like Flowmaster, some like Borla, I have a Dynomax super Turbo and it's got a nice rumble to it, but's it awefully quiet. As for exhaust size, I would run a 3 1/2" or so setup. I have the full dynomax setup and it flows pretty good, but like I said it's pretty quiet.
