cat removal

cat removal

how did you remove the cat? did everybody just gut them, or did anybody fab up a bracket and weld a pipe to it? thats what i did, put when i pulled off the old cat, the guy i bought it off of already had gutted it!!!! with the pipe, it doesn't backfire at all, not like with the gutted cat.

I've heard of putting a piece of pipe throught the cat after gutting it so you don't have to weld on a bracket. That way it looks like the cat is still there, and it doesn't have that "gutted" sound. Has anyone ever done this?
