Well, if you want a little bit of performance out of that V6, maybe a Dynomax cat-back.

a performance exhaust like a catback can cost about on average 200 - 250 bucks.

a v-8 swap price depends on the engien you buy, and what you want to do.. but from a v6 to a v-8 carb motor and you do the work your self i would somewhere about 2 grand..

If you're not made of money. Go with a cat-back first. That'll be a noticeable difference.

The amount on the engine swap depends on the performance level you want. Remember, you not only have to swap the motor, but you also have to do the tranny, and maybe the rearend depending on how much power you're putting out. (I'm not sure if the rearend in a V6 is different from a V8)

Definately go for the V8 swap. For somebody on a budget that doesnt have to pass smog, I would suggest going to a local Schuck's or something similar and ordering a 250hp target crate motor or equivelant. Slap a Edelbrock performer intake and carb on it, find a used turbo 350 and you will be good to go. I would budget right around 1500-2000 once its all said and done but it will be a lot of fun.
