How to make 4th gen headers fit my 3rd gen?
I have a good deal on some edelbrock 4th gen headers, and need to find out what I can do to make them fit? I think they will, but has anyone tried it? If you say they wont fit, how come?
Thanks

I doubt you could get them to work. I won't say you can't because I've never tried. However, the LT1 engine sits much farther back in the engine compartement so they may come down right on your crossmember. If it's an LS1 car they came from it will never work, LS1's use heads that are (can't remember term) they use even exhaust ports instead of alternating. While ours look like this o oo o the LS1's look like o o o o and I'm not sure but this may also apply to the LT1 engines. Both have dramitcally different head structure and since the LT1's and LS1's are more flat that regular SBCs the angle which the flanges may force the headers into the frame on either side. If you can get them cheap, it might be a better idea to try and unload them to a 4th gen owner and use the money for headers you know fit 3rdgens.
