Duel Exhaust Question????

I bought Hooker Comps 1-5/8's (shortys) I'm not gonna use a Y-pip but a dual exhaust set up, I bought 2 Flowmaster 40's and 2 Dynomax Cat's it's going to be a 2- 1/4 system and am wondering, how I am going to hook up the headers to the CATS?

My Engine is a 305 TPI with Vortech Heads out of an 97 Chevy truck, and a Comp Cam 246H grind, I am putting out around 270 horse (have not yet dynoed), But I figured this exhaust would be good for my daily driving). From what I've heard 2 - 1/4 is small piping but it is also coming out before the wheels, with the hooker dual slash tips too.

Well I figured I would go from 3" from header/ reducer to 2 1/2 then reducer to cats to 2-1/4, and 2- 1/4 out from the cats and muffs
