i have an 89 GTA, L98/auto/3.27 posi. It sounds dumb, but I just noticed my exhaust is like that of a early 80's F-body with the two tiny crossflow looking mufflers! It has the 3" pipe off the cat with a reducer to 2.5" all the way back where it goes to what looks to be 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pipe into the mufflers and like 2.5" pipe from the mufflers out the back. how much will this kill the performance of my car? I have a crossflow flowmaster brand new. But where will i find a stock 3" pipe from the cat back so i can use the thing? HELP!!

 

Wow. That is definetly messed up. You got a big time restriction. Its like a fire hose pumpin water in a hose that changes width a couple of times, its gonna suck and create backpressure and F*** up your valves. Get rid of that. If you still have the 3 inch cat, get a flowmaster cat back system from summit. Good luck!!
