Need some help on purchasing headers

I have a 1988 TBI 305 camaro. I have custom true duals on it but i had the stock exhaust manifolds. I am looking into buying headers but i see that headers with the sensor allready in them like the edelbrock ones and SLP ones but hell theyare too expensive. they make headers for 82-92 camaros without the airflow sensor and i was wondering if i needed to hook up the sensor. Beacause if its a matter of emmision **** im not worried but if its gonna screw with the comp then ill go the other way and get the edelbrock ones. Also will the headers exit at about the same place as the exhaust manifolds do?

thanks

You might be a candidate for the Hooker Comp shorties, p/n 2460. ~$145.

They don't exit exactly where the stock manifolds do, but close. You'll need to modify your current exhaust pipes to get them to hook up, but the mods will be relatively minor. The headers come with the O2 sensor bung.
