Headmens
I dont know about anybody else, but I am running hedman shortys on a 408 small block in a 88 firebird , and I am very pleased with them, My engine compartment is a lot cleaner than most considering the engine swap but both of my headers installed from the top and fit good.they are also a good heavy gauge steel. As for the y pipe I dont really know ,I had custom exhaust bent to fit them.
I put the Headman shorties on my wifes 82 Z28 and they also fit great. Like you said they both went in from the top and fit great. I did order the universal Headman Y pipe and it did not fit at all. You could get a bolt in on one side but none on the other. Not to mention the fact that it is 2¼" pipe into a 2 1/2" pipe wich does not work on a 3" cat back system (which most cat back systems are). We had a custon Y pipe made that is 2 1/2" into a 3¼" pipe into the 3" MAC offroad pipe to the 3" MAC catback system. This system works great and sounds bad *** . It does not have that high piched sound like most late model cars it has a deeper sound like an older car with flowmasters to the axle.
cool deal>>>>>>I'm gonna order them then. Thanks guys
