hooker cat back and cat

hey there, i am planning on getting the hooker cat back for my 305 firebird. i am gonna get a high flow cat for it aswell. should i go with a 2 1/2" cat to match what i have know. or go with a 3" to match the pipe included in the cat-back? or is there no difference as far as flow goes with both sizes?
thx

The cat is the one of the biggest bottle necks in the system. Get the 3in cat to match the 3in pipes of the cat back system. You will need a expander piece after your y-pipe and before your cat. This way if you ever want headers you will be all set, with no restrictions. Good luck

Get the 3" cat if you're gonna spend any money on the cat.
Hey UnderDog, do you have any pix of that hooker cat-back on your car? I really want to see what those quad 3" tips look like on the back before I order the setup.
