Duels too quite

I think its time to change the mufflers on my camaro. Shes got true-duels on it, but she is pretty quiet for being such a loppy motor (sure can hear it up front though! right out the headers, that nice little rattit-tat-tat in the collecters). I want to be able to hear more of the cam... hooker aerochamber mufflers?

Like opinions.

BlackBowTie, true duals going shraight back? Or do you go, like me, both on the passenger side. What kind of mufflers do you have? and what size pipe? I have two cats, at the cat positon, and these round elongated mufflers near the end of the car on each side of the gas tank.
My system is by no way quiet. My one neighbor is atleast a 150 feet away from my house and car and he hears it in the morning from a sound sleep! Says its his alarm clock! hehe.
I'm at work now but I'll get the muffler numbers for you if you want.
Good Luck.

They collect together from the heaqders, split underneith the pan, on each side of the tranny. One muffler up front, one in the rear in the normal location. No cats As for the type, I think they were some sort of el-chepo mufflers.. they are just rusted up w/ no numbers/ensignia on them or anything. I used to run hooker aerochamber muffler (MAC headers into 4" mufflex pipes, no cats, back to a 2 chamber hooker... loud sucker! 4th gen 396 LT4 Procharged trans-am)
I figured hookers would give me a good sound. Not to say these duels are like silent.. far from it! they will howl when you get on it, but I want a little more raspy sound from them than what they got now.
