new cats with headers?

thinking of going in on the slp group purchase for headers but am unsure of a few things. First, do i go with slp or is edelbrock tes just as good? is it better to go with 1 3/4" or 1 5/8" primarys. i already have a flowmaster 2.5" catback exhaust. and finally, should the dual cats be replaced or are the stock ones sufficient? the car is a 91 Z28 with 350, chip, k+ns, and the flowmaster. any input would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
oh, and also would i still pass emissions if i gutted the stock cats? i live in california where the emissions is the worst.

I wish I had gone with the SLP 1 3/4" headers they are better for the 350, just because of the larger size. I don't know if the quality is any better than the TES though.

you WONT pass emissions if you gut the cat. try shopping around for a hi flow cat. the stock one is NOT sufficient. id go with 1 3/4 headers and if you need to stay legal go with slp or else you could go with cheaper but good TES 1 5/8....slp i beleive is the only one to offer smog legal 1 3/4. good luck
