2 headers i havenot heard anything about

Pacesetter headers part number 70-1336 from carparts.com
discription from carparts

" Black Painted Shorty Headers , primary tube O.D.: 1-5/8 inches, collector I.D.: 2-1/2 inches, CARB EO# D-439-1. Flanged collector. Hook-ups for smog and engine management sensors. Comes with header extension to connect to stock system. Fabrication may be required."

its 199.99 $$ the cheepest i have seen.

also hooker headers part number HOK-02460
i asume no y-pipe ?? does it fit the stock one? are they emmisions leagl? they have fitting for 02 and AIR.

well what do yo uthink , price is my major concerne at the moment. so of those 2 has anyone heard anything/tried them? i asume more people know about the hooker ones so how is the install of those aswell? any major mods?

The Pacesetters aren't a good product.
I have a 305 88 IROC and I just installed the TES Edelbrock headers and they are great.
Both in fit and power. I bought my used so I can't give you a price. Try Summit and Jeg's, they will be in the $300 price range but they will be a good investment. I questions the other headers fit and durability, such as flange thickness and welding quality. Just my opinion and experience. What color is your IROC?????

I am very close to getting the Hooker shorties w/o a y pipe and coated for 318.00. not coated they are 200 emmisions legal and 150 non emmisions. flange is 5/16, 3" collector. I talked to Hooker and they said they fit w/o fabrication so I hope they are telling the truth. Still need to have pipes bent though to connect to cats
