Looking for 1 3/4 shories other than SLP
I am looking for some 1 3/4 primary shorties for a decent price. SLP's are out of my budget, any other suggestions?

Nobody makes 1-3/4" shorties except for SLP. In fact, only 2 sets of 1-3/4" are available on the market for thirdgens. SLP makes the shorties and Hooker makes the long tubes.

Thanks for clearing that up Tim. I had just put a new exhaust system on my car and was hoping to replace the Flowtech shorties I have now with some 1 3/4" primary shorties. I think for what the SLP's cost I might as well go with the Hooker 2210 long tubes and spend more money redoing the exhaust.

what would you guys recommend for me. im building a 408ci small block. i need something that has all the air hook ups. the guy who is machining and helping me build this motor told me to get the edelbrock TES headers(he told me to use these because they install with little priblems). i've been a member on this board for a while now and i've seen that there is not to many people that praise edelbrock TES headers. i really don't want to spend that much money on a set of slp headers. any suggestions would be great.
onyxdawg: i noticed that in your sig your car is on a trailer with what looks like slickes on it. what does your car run in the 1/4 mile. are you happy with that motor. also what heads did you use and how much were they.

If you're going to be over 400 hp I'd say SLP 1 3/4 if you want to use shorties, if not some Hooker 1 3/4 long tubes.

heavy_chevy 29, I got the car ready late in the season this year. I didn't make it to the track this fall as there was work to be done on the farm each race day. I have the GMPP Fastburn aluminum heads, they sell for 550-585 each. The only indication of time I have is a G-tech run on street tires, with an easy start (no wheel spin) it ran 13.11 @ 121.4 mph. The G-techs mph is 3-4 mph high. I think if I can hook on the track next spring I should be in the mid 12's.
