HELP, NEW MOTOR IN AND STOCK FUEL PUMP SHUTS OFF

What controls the fuel pump? It will cut on and then cut off, how can I get it to stay on????PLEASE HELP!! I am so close to finishing my motor!

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt,3:73's

I ran into that problem once, i found out after looking in my manual that the oil pressure sensor also controls the fuel pump. When i put in my carbed 388 i wired a relay so when the key is forward the pump is running.
