Used exhaust
I s'pose if you are short on cash and don't mind the lack of guarantee from a junkyard, it's a solution. I've actually bought and installed used pipe and mufflers for my guinea-pig, ghetto cruiser,
dirt-road-beater, Olds 88 parts gofer. By pure luck when I needed it, I found some good stuff on a junkyard 1990 Cadillac that was totally trashed in the front but the exhaust in the back in great condition! A little fork-lifting and torch-cutting and $20 later, I had a good muffler. When I had the money much later, I put in an Edelbrock RPM Series muffler. So, it worked for me.

Depends on the condition of the system. if its a stainless steel borla muffler or stainless SLP headers then ya go for it cause they dont wear out. also if the system has a ceramic coating on it like Jet Hot or something similar then it should hold up for a long time too. If its just plain old uncoated exhaust pipe, i might get it if it looks ok from the outside, like no rust or anything. You cant hide an exhaust probelm, either the pipes are rusted through or they aren't good luck man
