Added headers and am now having problems

I put on a set of hedman smog shorties, a set of acell 8 mm universal radio supresion wires and a set of the made for you center bolt wire looms. The set up couldn't look any better but it seems like the car is not going into closed loop like it's supposed to be. The car also has a gutted cat, 2.5" cat back with dual 2.5" tail pipes. Do i nead a heated O2 sensor or what?

Definitly run a heated O2 sensor anytime you gut a cat

Update: I found the exhaust leaks that were causing the backfires so that's good, the car now just racks off when you wind it up in neutral. The car still doesn't go into closed loop unless i drive it above 2500 rpm. I can put it in drive and go about 55 or 60 mph and it'll go closed loop but as soon as i slow down or shift to od it goes open again.

I bought a heated O2 sensor from a 93 vette but haven't put it in yet. I found it at Car Quest for a little over 60 bucks. What's a good circuit to tie in to for that thing. I know it's gotta be hot with ignition only.

As far a cross firing goes, i looked at it in total darkness and couldn't see any sparking going on. I checked the resistance on all the plug wires and all were consistent and no greater than the factory ones.

Thanks for all the help the cars running much better and sounds a **** load better.
