Cat-Back Weld vs Clamp

I am getting ready to install a hooker catback system on my '85 TA.

1. Do they fit pretty good or do they need modification?

2. Will the clamps work ok without welding?

3. If I use the clamps can it be welded later without disassembling it?

Thanks

I used all clamps on mine and I haven't had any trouble yet (cat-back is 9 months old). On my friends 85 Z28 he had to have the cat-back welded where it intermediate pipe goes over the axle because if kept slipping off. So you mind want to consider welding that joint.
