well i went and did it. i took the saws all to my muffler. (the pipes rusted together where the clamp is.) personally, i think its sweet. i love the extra boom it gives. before i could hear my engine over my exaust. Wich suck **** when youre used to driving a corvette that sets off car alarms with stock mufflers and (freeflow)cats and smog pump ON. yeah thats nice. some people dont like the pops and booms that you get when you rev up to 2500-3000 and let off the gas, but i cant get enough of it. and if that makes me a hick, gimme a sheep and call me Elbert.
and i do feel a slight increase in power. not a whole lot but im sure if i do a K&N, it would be pretty noticable, but im not looking to raise a whole lot of power in my 170,000mile LG4 305. im gonna wait till i can get an LT1 that needs a rebuild and do everything internal. i think about 350-400 horses would be pretty good for me.
