SCORE!!!

Mad props to me!! I put the open air filter on today and it actually worked!!! (yes, this isnt such a bit deal but if you've read my previous posts, i was having problems so i'm pretty happy) It looks pretty damn sweet. I found no problems and it only took me about 30 or so minutes. I havent really pushed my car that hard yet so i'm not sure if i gained any hp. It sounds sweet with the engine up and when i hit higher speeds i can really hear it. Thanx for everyone who gave me some help. Peace

*UPDATE*
Just topped out at 110 or so without any problems so thats pretty damn sweet. I found a noticeable increase in acceleration and it sounds a hell of alot better.

Hey, this was my first mod...if you wanna call it that and since i had so many problems originally it felt good to do it myself and prove every other dumbass at the shops wrong. Yea, that is a whimmpy mod but since i'm strapped for cash, that was the best i could. I'm sure once summer hits i'll have some real mods coming.

Congrats man,

Try to do all your mods yourself until they take a specialist. It is worth the money then to have it right and have them responsilbe if something goes wrong. Keep up the good work!

We never proved that, if we made like 6 runs, 1 w/open, 1 w/stock, 1 w/no, etc. then we might have something to go on but nobody has done that. Besides, even though somebody has said they've gained a tenth or 2, it might be because they have gained experience at launching the car and shift points. We've never made it perfectly clear with our stock engines. I could do it but I don't have an L03 anymore. We need a test pig to let an experienced driver take the car down the 1/4 the way I explained it so we get cool and hot runs in. I think Tim could get Randy to do it but I don't know, it would be nice to see 2 tenths.
