Hey, I have a 91 camaro... and was wondering what the best exaust would be to get... i'm only 16, so i don't have much money... when i bought the car the guy changed the exaust system except for the tips... and i dont know what kind of exaust he put on... do you think i should replace the whole system or just by new tips?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is still the stock exhaust I would save some $ & replace the whole system (headers, hi flo cat & cat-back exhaust). Plan on spending close to $1,000 for the whole system. See my sig for my exhaust set-up, got the whole system from www.summitracing.com

Yup.

Also, if only the muffler was replaced, I'd go for the Hooker cat-back, and maybe save up for some headers at the same time.

edit, if you follow my setup, plan on spendin about half of the above quote. $350 Hooker headers , $80 or so for a hi flo cat, $200 Hooker cat-back.

I also lack funding for my baby (1991 Camaro RS) I just went with a 3" catback with a flowmaster muffler. The car ran a bunch better and this is allowing me to save for headers and a cat and stuff.

If it's a brand new exhaust...save some $$ and get a cut out if you're not worried about noise! $35 bucks.

check a jegs or a summit.

I had mine done custom and installed and it cost $350. I didnt really trust a kit to fit correctly so i had the custom work done and it works great, but it did cost a little more. I also got tips 3 1/2" angle cut. They look sweet. Rock on.

I got a brand new 3' catback off of ebay for $159.00..it comes with a crappy muffler but you could buy a flowmaster to put on, then you would have a flowmaster catback for about $250.00...the guy that sells them on ebay is mgh7002.
