Hooker cat-back w/ 3" high flow cat?????
Hello all! My hooker cat back & 3" cat just came in from jegs. now the cat-back is setup to be used w/ my stock cat. so if i want to use the 3", do i need to cut the pipe. causae the pipe seems to reduce down and have a flange on it. i am not sure why there is a flange there anyway. my stock system doesnt have a flange. i am pretty sure i got the right cat-back jegs #16820 for my 305 tbi vin code "E". so is there an easy way to set this system up with the 3" slip fit cat?

You'll have to do a little rigging it sounds like. The Hooker system is made to the bolt to the stock cat, (at least mine for my 87 Z was w/ factory 3" cat. I assume that is what you ordered). I replaced the stock cat w/ a Catco 3" replacement cat and it also bolted right up to that.
