Best Exhaust?

I have a 88 camaro rs with a 305 v8. I want to get a nice exhaust system on it but I don't want to spend over 500 dollars. Are there any suggestions? I want one that both sounds good and has good performance.

Thanks

You'll get about 100 opinions on this one. I like Dynomax as far as bang-for-buck goes. Most of their systems are aluminized and under $250 at Jeg's or Summit. But that's just my $0.02.

I think this will boil down to two things. which do you want more sound or looks? or a combination of both. there are a couple of companys offering sweet looking kits. magnaflow and mac. I personally like the sound of a flowmaster cause they use baffling in the muffler and not an isulation to diffuse the sound. looks wise though I like daul exit an nic big shinny tips. just 3" or bigger pipes out the back. hear are pics of the mac and magnaflow kits.

most other kits can be seen in a summit or jegs catalog.

I like my Flowmaster catback, it was $350.00. Remember they sell more than one system. There is a single 3 inch system, an older 2 and 1/2 inch dual-outlet design, and the one I have - 3 inch dualcat/dual outlet AT (American Thunder)catback. The tips are polished/slash cut. Similar to the photos above.
