The Ultimate Sound
From what I've actually heard, I like Borla the best. It is a very unique sound, almost unmistakable. My question is for anyone who has or has heard a thirdgen V8 with just the muffler and tips installed and also has heard the full cat-back, but all opinions are welcome.
Does the full cat-back sound significantly different than just the muffler and tips? At this stage I'm not concerned with performance because I'm running stock exhaust manifolds and pipes and I don't want it to be too loud . I'd get the entire cat-back system but it's just too expensive. Thanks.

as far as sound it will be close. your intermediate pipe diameter is not going to make much difference in sound. the borlas big lack is not in sound or performance it is the fact that thier cat back falls about a foot shourt of your cat. and for $525 it should not. if you are intereseted in a used borla system and are not in too big of a hurry you should drop me a line. I think I am going to buy the random tech setup and so my borla will just be clutering my garage.
