The heddman headers on the 71' duster are a little bit rusted but still in great condition. Flows great( i run open headers and still havent gotten pull over from the cops) anyway, They seem very rusted but nothing is chipping. I've spray painted the heddman headers with 2,000 degree spray paint and its been about a week and it hasent even chiped. How long is the paint gonna last, should i keep painting it myself or just buy a need damn set.

I've got a 74 Dart Sport 360 with headers but I can't remember who made them since they have been on it for 14 years, when I got them I bead blasted them and used black high-temp paint on them, when you first start it up after painting let it run just long enough to get the headers warm, but not smoking hot, do that several times to help cure the paint and it will last longer, and it seems the paint lasted about 3 years before it started rusting. You can keep repainting them or just let them rust like I did. I'll be getting some ceramic coated TTI headers for it soon, those fit really good and look fantastic. Keep that Duster in good shape, your right you don't see many of them anymore, I like my Camaro but I really like seeing the faces of the guys with the new Z28's and Mustangs and riceburners when I blow there doors off with my old Dart, I'll keep it forever

Yeah i agree with u. I wasnt a big fan of plymouth until my brother told me the basics of a carbeurator and a plymouth duster. Not only are the parts cheap but these cars are gorgeous. Too bad people dont really take a good look at it. When i drive down the block i see a lot of heads turn(could be from the open headers) and when i hear that rumble and there jaws drop slow, its a great experience. I ll never give it up or sell it. The 71' duste and 92' camaro is gonna be with me till the day i die and ill pass it along. Finally after 4 years of waiting, ive resurrected the old plymouth and now im the envy of the block.
