Cat conv. removal

Did a search on this but found nothing. Does anyone know what kind of time difference you get when you take off the cat conv.? I have put on headers, y-pipe, 3" catco cat, 3"cat back flowmaster sys. and now I was thinking about getting rid of the cat. conv. all together.

I gutted my cat right after I put on the Air Gap manifold, so its hard to say which gains belonged to which part mod. But, the stock cats are super restrictive, so it makes a big difference either way (Gutting or high flow cat) But if you have emissions where you live, you could risk not passing without a cat or a gutted cat. If you don't have emissions, then defenitly gut it out or replace it with straight pipe. I just had some custom pipe bent up to replace the cat completely, hooking up to a hooker areoflow muffler. I used 3" stainless, and it seems to work all right (only driven 1 mile so far, its always raining up here...) but the gains are there, regardless of how big or small.
