I got a new oxygen sensor at the parts store the other day for my new headers. When I drilled out the hole for it in the headers and then tried to screw it in it didn't. The O2's threads didn't match up with the threads on the Header.

Is there a different one I have to get for the Hooker's? Do a need a heated O2.

Mine screwed right in when I put Hookers on my 84. It was a stock single wire sensor.

 

I think his will screw in if he works on it a little with the dremel, the hole that was drilled looks like it's slightly off center.

Your car is carbed right? Have you noticed any ill effects using just the stock sensor?

The 84 runs like a champ, never had any problems and no trouble codes. I drilled my bung out then used a dremel to dress it up so you are probably right he just needs to clean it up.
