any body using hooker super comp's

Is anyone out there using Hooker Super Comp headers? I'm getting ready to order some and I want to make sure there are no issues with the fit. FYI, If any one is getting ready to order some headers, check out www.jet-hot.com If you need to have them Jet Hot coated, you can order them straight from Jet Hot and save some cash on shipping. I'm gonna get mine for about $64.00 cheaper.

Are you talking about the long tubes? If so, I wouldn't bother coating them right away because you will most likey have to dimple them in some areas, ie. the starter or control arm mount. I don't know how well the coating will hold up to that. Plus, if they are long tubes, you will scratch the crap out of them before you are done.

Yeah i scratched mine up, but i didn't have to dimple them anywhere. I'm also still using a stock starter and angle plug heads.

The primaries are 28", are these the long tube? My engine is out of the car and the headers will be installed prior to placing back into the engine compartment. I have a mini-starter and fast burn heads with angled plugs. Has any one wrapped their headers with some cloth type material prior to installation to help prevent sctatching them all up...Just a thought. Thanks for the replies.
