any 85 TPI w/ SLP headers, smog stuff and AC??
any 85 TPI w/ SLP headers, smog stuff and AC??
I have my (1 5/8)headers but it looks like I'll have to modify the AC bracket on the driver's side, and to a lesser extent the smog pump diverter thingy on the passenger side. 1985 camaros and ponchos with TPIs have the v-belt/ribbed belt combo and are not the serpentine belt setup so I think this problem may be unique to them, at least.
I didn't get the install kit (yet) because I just bought the headers and Y-pipe from a friend. But does the install kit come with the 90* fittings for the air tubes? Can I pick some up from the dealer?

James,
The 90-degree bent hoses for the air tubes are only 5/8" heater hose. Go to AutoZone and ask for a pair of generic heater hose with a 90-degree bend. Then trim to fit.
The A/C bracket is a modified GM piece that is included in the SLP install kit. I did not buy the install kit because I felt it was a waste of money. Everything in it can be bought locally for cheaper and I decided to use Stage 8 header bolts instead of the standard bolts included in the kit. The only part that's unique is the A/C bracket. I ended up buying it for $35 from SLP. Then I converted to serpentine!! So I've got a new modified bracket I don't need. Want it for cheap? E-mail me if you do.
