Actually that is what people have been using lately with the hedman headers to clear the crossmember. I have hookers so mine could have cleared the subframe/crossmember, but I am using the s extensions to move it to the center by the drive shaft tunel. Here is a link to a rough sketch of my exhaust and a problem I am currently having. The passenger side fits perfect, but the drivers side header aims back at a slight angle toward the center of the car so it is throwing of my pipe routing. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...postid=1081421

Hey I just wanted some type of input on mine. I installed them today and they seem to be right on the ground. I was expecting some ground issues but not as much as they are. Anyone who has the extensions please reply and tell me about your ground clearance. Thanks

They are lower than they look in the pic.

I can't tell from the picture, but can't you rotate them towards each other?

I have hooker headers so I didnt need to come down as much as you guys do, but you can rotate them. I just turned mine most the way sidways and it has about 5" of ground clearance now that I got the clamps off and have it welded.

Also, in my case, by turning them sideways, it put them right in the edge of the driveshaft tunnel so they tucked up real nice in back too.

Momar, if you wouldn't mind could you tell me all of the pieces that your exhaust exists of. Did you have to modify your h pipe at all?

Hooker long tubes, s extensions, summit aluminized h pipe, 2 4' pieces of summit alumized pipe, bullet mufflers and turndowns.

Here is a link to the H pipe. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...2025&x=14&y=16 It is part number SUM-642025 on summit if the link doesnt work. It was 36.95.

Oh, and for the h pipe, the only thing I modified was the lenght of the pipe in the middle. I just cut it down so that it was short enough to fit and then slid it all together, aligned it how I wanted it, clamped it and took it to the exhaust shop.

Not a problem. You have the hedman headers right? I had to modify my s extension on mine because the drivers side collector on my hookers didnt aim straight back. I just cut a pie shape out of it and had it heated and bent and welded. I did this and it still kept it the same diameter inside instead of having it bent and squashed down real small.

Why did it not aim straight back, was it because you had to turn them it what? My passenger side is a little turned in.

It was actually the flange on the header that didnt aim straight back. At first I thought that my extension was messed up, but I tried the one from the other side that aimed back perfect on it and it was crooked and the one that was messed up origionally was straight on the passenger side. It was nothing to do with the extensions, but just that the one header didnt aim perfectly straight back. I just corrected the angle problem with the extension.
