Spark plugs and Headers......

Transmission: Performa Built 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42 10 bolt, Eaton/Moser
Spark plugs and Headers......

I just installed Hooker SC LT headers on my '87 IROC. I can't seem to get the spark plug into cylinder no. 7. I have AFR 190 straight plug heads. I'm using the AFR recommended plugs, AC Delco FR3LS. Seems too long. Aside from putting a dimple on the header, any other ideas?

I take it from what you said that the back of the plug hits the header tube. AC/Delco plugs are generally longer than ones from other companies. Even though I highly suggest using AC plugs in every GM car or truck, you may have to buy some shorter plugs. I know that the Accel plugs are smaller than the ACs. That maybe the only thing you can do.
