I doubt you'll see any noticable gain from choosing one from the other.
The Hedmans don't come with a y pipe though.
Catco makes some good cats from what I've read on here.

Hedman sells the y-pipe separately. I haven't been too impressed with what I've heard about their y-pipe, though (can't say that I've seen one with my own eyes).
The latest edition of Popular Hot Rod has another installment of their "My Generation Camaro". They built a 350 with emissions-compatibility in mind, and dyno'd it with the TES installed (no cat, though). It made 380 HP at the flywheel. That's not too shabby, considering the somewhat conservative cam they used.
Whatever you do, don't settle for TBI-application exhaust parts. The y-pipe and cat will be restrictive (as will the cat-back). Use '86-'91 single-cat TPI application parts. I'd recommend the Hooker 2055 headers (which include a great y-pipe); direct-fit TPI cat, which will be 3" inlet and fit right on the Hooker y-pipe; and a TPI cat-back. Great system with lots of room for growth.
