Header and catback install
Header and catback install
I have the Edelbrock 1 5/8 headers for my car and no cats going through the RPM Series Catback sold by Edelbrock. I have installed headers once before (I barely did anything, I was fairly new with cars at the time, so I just watched and picked up what I could) with minimal problems and hopefully this one will be not of a problem except for one factor. I will not be running cats with this setup. I'm going to have the exhaust shop get me 2 3" pipes and I will use the clamps to keep them on like that until emissions comes along. I'm also going to do some performance observing at the track between the cat and no cat setup. What about the AIR? Since it goes into my cat, what do I do since I won't have a cat? Will this hurt/benefit my car? What other problems should I be aware of before installing these headers? I did it once with a very experienced mechanic who is my cousin. I wan't to do it myself this time with the help of a friend (never installed headers before). Thx, all opinions appreciated.
