Single out exhaust?

I went from my stock setup, to a single out american thunder flowmaster exhuast system, i was wondering what you guys think of a single out exhaust in the terms of power and back pressure. Everytime i hear a third gen with a 80 series flowmaster, i sounds mellow and quiet, but mine is loud as he**.

I think that your setup is great, but if you even want more sound switch to a true dual straight pipe setup! I have it on my 85 Firebird with a 350 crate motor and Hooker Headers! Now thats a rumble. Just watch out for the cops.

A dual outlet exhaust has a nice 'monza' look, I think.. Though I understand straight through flow mufflers are better at scavanging the exhaust than cross flow types like our OE mufflers....

I think your setup is cool. I think you'll want to go with low restriction cats, but it sound like a nice system

Mine goes from the Y-pipe to a 2.75 intermediate to a 3" Flowmaster 3 chamber single outlet muffler to a 4" Stainless tip with a resonator.

Nice mean deep tone rumble at idle and a nice Flowmaster ™ sound at WOT.

I noticed an increase in SOTP after switching from a crossflow 2 chamber.

My next step is a straight thru MagnaFlow or UltraFlow.

In the neverending search for MORE POWER
