Best Exhaust for basically Stock LG-4

Only changes are an open element K&N & no AIR pump, 209,000 miles.

Headers - are 1.5" primaries more than adequate?

Exhaust - 2.5" or 3" Cat-back?

Alternative - leave the exhaust alone because it is a slow-@## car and will always remain that way.

I would go with just a cat back. Get the size of your cat and get that size cat back. Don't bother getting bigger pipes. I thought about getting exhaust for my LG4 and decided that it was too slow anyways and I would be wasting my money. That's why I'm puttin in a 355 TPI. Forget about headers, unless you plan on doing more engine mods. Just my opinion though. Hope this helps.

Well, if you're looking to do a full exhaust, I would highly recommend the Edelbrock TES, Catco converter, and the Hooker catback. Buy the headers used (classifieds), the other stuff new. All together it should cost around $500-$600. Get the headers designed for the later 86-92 TPI cars, a 3" cat, and catback for the 86-92 TPI cars. This will yield a huge improvement, at least 25-30 HP. Should be worth almost a full second in the 1/4, and it will sound great. Exhaust REALLY wakes up the LG4.

CamaroX84 - spending that money on a 355 is a good idea, but the TPI, thats money down the drain
