What I was wondering is if I switched to some aftermarkeet heads like the edlebrock performers will my SLP headers work with them?

SLP 1 5/8" headers
TPIS airfoil
Thermomaster chip/160 degree thermostat
gutted airboxes/K&N filters

They should, as long as the exhaust ports match up.

Well it depends on what head. Your biggest concern will be spark plug clearance to the headers.

How about the edlebrock performer centerbolt heads?

I agree on the post addressing spark plug clearance. Heads also come with angled or straight spark plug holes. Stock heads (at least mine) have straight spark plug holes. I think that spark plugs themselves can be ordered in different sizes.

As for the Edelbrock heads, I think NJ Speeder can answer your question, since he has them

I am using the SLP 1 3/4 headers with some GM performance parts fast burn aluminum heads and they work pretty good. The fast burns have a raised D-port exhaust and the SLPs will work when you open the hole up on the flange a little.

The angle plug heads give much better spark plug clearance than a straight plug head.
I can do all of the plugs really easily with the headers on except the number 5 cylinder. Its a little tougher. All others are cake.

I agree. I have the Edelbrock perfomer heads and SLP 1-5/8 and have no problem. Angle plugs are a plus.
