Ok could an average shade-tree mechanic install a catback in their driveway with the only resources available to him being 4 jack stands, socket set and wrenchs? More specifically an Edelbrock cat-back?

The car it will be installed on is a 1988 L98 single cat car. There is a Catco catalytic converter already installed. There are also SLP 1 3/4" headers installed.

I wouldn't think it would be too difficult. Just bolt everything to the hangers. CC's are bolted on (usually), so that shouldn't be a problem. A Borla catback system install is rated at 2 hours to install (for my car), so I am sure it can't be too hard.

But with the borla you need to cut your existing pipes so that makes it a little more difficult. But with most any other cat back system it should be a snap.
