I just finished my header install. I didn't remove my steering column. I just took the bolt out of the motor mount and tilted the motor and they went right on. The brake lines I haven't figured out yet since they are rubbing my headers.

pull the shield out of the way and there's a bolt through a clamp around a splined shaft underneath. just loosen the bolt, then use a flathead screwdriver between the clamp and the steering box and twist to slide it off the shaft. the shaft telescopes and pivots so you can easily move it out of the way.

Thanks Jza, but can you give the location of the steering box (towards windshield or front of car)
